| Description |
The bifunctional protein DCoH is both a transcriptional coactivator and a metabolic enzyme. DCoH stimulates expression of genes controlled by the homeodomain-containing, hepatocyte nuclear factor-] (HNF-I) family of transcriptional activators. DCoH does not bind DNA. Consequently, protein-protein interactions may be central to the coactivator function.
