Description

Cys-rich regions in CBP and p300 called transcriptional adaptor or 'TAZ??. Each TAZ domain shows internal triplication of a Cys-x4-Cys-x8-His-x3-Cys motif. The TAZ1 domain in P300 and the TAZ2 (CH3) domain in CBP have each been shown to have four amphipathic helices, organized by three zinc-binding clusters with HCCC-type coordination.
