  SSXT
Family Type Putative novel transcription factor
Plant Specific No
Functional Domains Protein-protein interacting domain
Must-have InterProScan Domain Pattern IPR007726
Prohibited InterProScan Domain Pattern -
Description

This protein was first described in synovial sarcomas carcinoma. By the fusion of SYT and the SSX proteins this new transcriptional regulator is generated. The SYT-SSX chimeric proteins are likely to be involved in the transcriptional deregulation of specific target genes. The genes normally regulated by SYT or SSX proteins through putative direct or indirect protein-protein interactions with specific transcription. This protein is predicted as a transcriptional repressor.
