Description |
Rb that is central to its growth-inhibitory effects is its regulation of the E2F family of transcription factors, which are required for the expression of genes involved in the G1?CS transition. Highly conserved grooves B-box and A-box are present in its structure. The A-box portion appears to be required for the stable folding of the B box. Also A?CB interface is highly conserved suggesting that it may be involved in additional protein-binding. The A and B boxes each contain the cyclin-fold structural motif.
