| Description |
RISC, the RNA-induced silencing complex, uses short interfering RNAs (siRNAs) or micro RNAs (miRNAs) to select its targets in a sequence specific manner. Argonaute family play a vital role in this process. Argonaute proteins retain a common architecture with the PAZ motif in the middle and Piwi motif in the C-terminal region.
