Description |
In many diverse species including bacteria, fungi, plants, and animals, contains jumanji protein family. Many jumonji
family proteins that have only the jmjC domain or may both jmjC and jmjN domains. JmjC domain containing proteins have been shown to be involved in chromatin remodeling, acting as histone demethylases. Resent discovery highlighted that a JmjC domain-containing protein functions as a circadian clock component and controls flower development in Arabidopsis.
