  CCHC(Zn)
Family Type Transcription factor interactor and regulator
Plant Specific No
Functional Domains Single stranded RNA binding/ DNA binding domain
Must-have InterProScan Domain Pattern IPR001878
Prohibited InterProScan Domain Pattern IPR001487 IPR018359 IPR001005
Description

CCHC zinc finger proteins are characterized by three cysteine residues and one histidine residue. In CCHC-type zinc finger motif usually cysteine and histidine residues are arrange in following order C-X2-C-X4-H-X4-C. This group of zinc finger protein specifically interacts with single-stranded DNA or RNA oligonucleotides carrying recognition sequences.
