  AUX-IAA
Family Type Transcription factor interactor and regulator
Plant Specific No
Functional Domains Protein-protein interacting domain
Must-have InterProScan Domain Pattern IPR011525
Prohibited InterProScan Domain Pattern IPR010525 IPR003340
Description

AUX?CIAA proteins did not have any DNA binding domain. It has only domain III and IV which are also present ARF group of transcription factors. This domains work as a protein-protein interacting domain. In absence of auxin, AUX-IAA sequester ARF by protein-protein interaction and inhibit it from DNA binding. Upon precision of auxin by plant cells it promotes AUX-IAA degradation only after that ARF can bind to DNA.
