| Description |
The AS2/LOB genes encode plant-specific nuclear proteins containing the conserved domain AS2/LOB. There group of proteins can be subdivided into two classes, class I proteins include an N-terminal conserved domain with a CX2CX6CX3C motif and a zipper-like sequence, whereas class II proteins include the C-motif and an incomplete zipper-like sequence . This group of Transcription factor recognizes a 6-bp consensus DNA motif, GCGGCG.
